Busta Rhymes is excited about the state of New York hip hop.

There’s nothing quite like a weekend in New York City and last weekend was no exception. As two of the music industry’s biggest producers went head-to-head in a DJ battle late Friday night with their respective catalogs, the whole city watched on via Instagram Live. The game would get shaken up even further on Saturday when Remy Ma, a heavy hitter from the Bronx, took direct aim at Young Money’s Nicki Minaj by releasing “shETHER” a scathing response to Nicki’s subliminal shots at her on Gucci Mane’s single “Make Love.ShETHER which contains seven minutes of vicious attacks on Minaj’s allege use of gluteoplasty, ghostwriters and her possible infidelity with Hot 97’s radio host Ebro Darden, really put the pressure on Nicki Minaj to respond if she really wants to be taken seriously as the self-proclaimed Queen of Rap. Remy also threw shade at Nicki Minaj’s brother, Jelani Maraj, for his involvement in allegedly raping a young girl. If convicted, Mr. Maraj faces life behind bars.

If you haven’t heard it by now, here’s Remy Ma’s brutal attack on Nicki Minaj.

Here’s a full tracklist of the songs used during Hot 97’s “Battle of the Beats.”
